About me
A 33 years young man who likes to live his life to the fullest.
Currently working as a Senior Engineer for Datametrix. TelePresence, communication and video conferencing is my cup of tea.
My expertise consists of Windows Server systems in general, Microsoft Exchange, communication solutions and the hardware itself (SAN´s, NAS, backup systems, and so forth). I love digging in to new areas of technology, and i have learned alot about many different systems due to this in the recent years. I see myself as a person that has a fundamental understanding on how systems work in general, and how different systems communicate and work together.
I have mostly been a Windows user myself, and i have also mostly worked with Windows systems. I also have good understanding and a fairly good knowledge of Linux, BSD and Unix systems in general. I recently started using a MacBook Pro, which i also use in my new work, not because i think Macs are better than PCs (Macs are PCs), but because i love learning new stuff. OSX has been nice so far, even though i miss a few things, i have also found lots of new cool stuff in this OS that is missing in Windows. And having a pure Unix system and subset of tools inside the OS itself is really, really nice.
Besides computers and technology I love taking photos of all sorts of things, but I guess my favorite objects are beautiful landscapes and product shots (cars, bikes, etc). I’m a hobby guitarist that is still learning a lot every day! I love playing songs by Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, Metallica, Nirvana, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, and classic rock songs.
In the winter time I prefer to snowboard as much as I can, and during the summer I like enjoying the nice weather – whenever it’s around.
I’m a technology enthusiast that loves every latest and greatest gadget, be it laptops, computers, phones, gaming consoles, TV’s, or whatever.
I’m from the city Trondheim in Norway, and I recently moved back to Trondheim after living and working for 3 years in Oslo.
